Hello! Thank you for taking the time to view my profile.
My name is Yoshiki, and I run an American leather carving workshop in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture.
I have been practicing leather carving for 16 years, during which I have created many works and continuously refined my skills.
I owe much of my growth in leather carving to the incredible mentor I was fortunate to meet.
My mentor studied for three years at the workshop of a world-renowned carver, Mr. O, and I was trained intensively by him for two and a half years.
Through this experience, I not only mastered the fundamentals of leather carving but also learned how to complete and finish pieces.

私は、佐賀県武雄市でアメリカンレザーカービング教室を運営している Yoshiki です。
レザーカービングを始めて16年になり、この間、多くの作品を手掛け、日々技術を磨きながら活動していました。
私がレザーカービングの技術をここまで向上させることができたのは、素晴らしい師匠との出会いがあったからです。
私の師匠は、超有名なカーバー O氏 の工房で3年間学ばれた方で、私はその方から2年半みっちりと基礎を叩き込まれました。
この経験を通じて、レザーカービングの基礎だけでなく、作品を仕立てる技術も習得しました。

– The Current State of Leather Carving Classes in Kyushu and My Mission –
九州のレザーカービング教室の現状と私の使命
Currently, there are very few leather carving classes available in Kyushu.
I am committed to share all the knowledge and techniques I’ve developed over the years with anyone interested in learning leather carving, whether they are complete beginners or experienced crafters.
In addition to offering in-person classes, I’ve also launched online lessons to overcome geographical limitations and bring the charm of leather carving to a wider audience.
My mission is to make learning accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding — even for those starting from scratch.
I’ve prepared a curriculum that is both easy to follow and fun, helping students not only develop skills but also experience the joy and sense of accomplishment that come with creating handmade pieces.

現在、九州ではレザーカービング教室が非常に少ないのが現状です。
私は、初心者から経験者まで、レザーカービングを学びたいと思っている方々に対して、これまで培った知識や技術を余すことなくお伝えしたいと考えています。
対面の教室はもちろん、オンライン講座も開設し、地理的な制約を超えて多くの方にレザーカービングの魅力を届けていくことが私の使命だと思っています！
初心者の方にもわかりやすく、楽しく学べるカリキュラムを準備しており、技術だけでなく、作品作りの楽しさや達成感も感じていただけるようサポートします。
私は、初心者から経験者まで、レザーカービングを学びたいと思っている方々に対して、これまで培った知識や技術を余すことなくお伝えしたいと考えています。
